Meet Our Waco Team

Kyle Grogger, DVM

Practicing Location: Waco & Navasota

Professional Interests: Emergencies, Wellness, Reproduction

Dr. Kyle Grogger is from the suburbs of Chicago. He grew up barrel racing and shadowing local equine veterinarians, quickly deciding that was the career path for him. He graduated from Augustana College with an undergraduate degree in Biology and a minor in Biochemistry. In 2021, he graduated from the University of Illinois Veterinary School. While in veterinary school, he was introduced to Dr. Warnock and Dr. Karkula, who told him to visit Brazos Valley Equine Hospitals in Navasota. After completing his externship as a 4th year student, he accepted an internship position and then elected to stay on as an associate beginning in 2022.

He has a barrel horse named Aussie who he is looking forward to competing with soon. When not palpating mares and seeing emergencies, he enjoys playing tennis, working out, and trying new Texas BBQ joints.

Jonathan Budd, DVM

Practicing Location: Waco

Specializes In: *Stay Tuned*

Dr. Jonathan Budd specializes in sports medicine and podiatry. Growing up on a cow/calf ranch in New Brunswick, Canada, Dr. Budd developed a passion for veterinary medicine and horsemanship from an early age. As the fifth of eight children in a family of veterinarians, he was homeschooled and actively involved in his local 4-H club, where he served in multiple roles, including club president.

Dr. Budd pursued his undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University before earning his veterinary degree from the Atlantic Veterinary College. His diverse background includes experience as a reproductive manager, assistant cow horse trainer, colt starter, and large animal technician. At BVEH, where he has been practicing for a year, Dr. Budd is dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care. He is particularly interested in Quarter Horses and disciplines such as cutting, reining, and reining cow horses. Dr. Budd finds great satisfaction in working with owners to achieve their goals, whether aiming for a world championship or ensuring a long, healthy life for a pasture companion. Outside of his veterinary work, he enjoys cooking, practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu (with a goal of earning a black belt), and spending time with his border collie, Kelly. Dr. Budd is newly married to a fellow BVEH veterinarian from Louisiana, and they share a passion for horsemanship and veterinary medicine.

Tyler Yglesias, DVM

Practicing Location: Waco

Professional Interests: *Stay Tuned*

Dr. Tyler Yglesias specializes in equine reproduction and medicine. Growing up in Central Louisiana, Dr. Yglesias developed a passion for horses early on, participating in barrel racing, pole bending, and cutting events. This love for equine athletes, combined with her experience in treating her own horses, led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Yglesias earned her degree from Louisiana State University, where she also worked as a large animal technician at the School of Veterinary Medicine. Now in her second year at BVEH, she is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Dr. Yglesias has a particular interest in Quarter Horses and Western Performance disciplines. She is working towards her certification in acupuncture, expanding her skillset to better serve her patients. Outside work, Dr. Yglesias enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan (a fellow BVEH veterinarian), their border collie, Kelly, and her two horses, Grace and Chex. She hopes to return to competitive riding in barrel racing or cutting and is considering trying her hand at reined cowhorse events.
